The Japan Maritime Daily released an article regarding the collaboration of our new function, ZenBox, and FujiFilm Business Innovation Corp.’s document-handling software, DocuWorksDesk.

With this collaboration, ZenBox will automatically organize and store unstructured data such as emails, documents, and PDFs uploaded through DocuWorksDesk. This feature enables users to efficiently manage their transaction data according to shipping schedules.
Zenbox eliminates the cumbersome manual work of analyzing and managing data, contributes to more efficient document handling, and promotes the digitization of global supply chain management.

Zenport will continue to provide the service promoting digitization and give a new perspective to trade business.

Zenport: Smart reconciliation of trade documents
Auto integration of photos and data

Zenport (Ota Fumiyuki, CEO) has released the “Zenbox” application tailored to efficiently manage trade documents in various formats such as pdf on its platform. Zenbox links with document-handling software “DocuWorks” provided by Fuji Film Business Innovation (hereinafter “Fujifilm BI”). The collaboration empowers users to combine excel data files with scanned image files of paper documents and pdf, allowing them to easily manage structured and itemized documents.

Zenport offers a platform that enables importers/exporters and forwarders to manage trade information online. The platform automatically extracts and integrates respective trading individual stakeholders’ data, such as order placement by importers and shipping information by the forwarders. The platform thus expedites the trading processes by capacitating all stakeholders to share their information on the trade.

As remote work becomes increasingly common during the pandemic, online information sharing has never been more in demand. Although the whole industry is increasingly inclining towards digitization, manual ways of communication such as fax and paper documents are still commonly utilized across trading operations. A handful of companies have practiced importing these documents as pdf or image files to manage the trading data. However, the contents of the documents which these companies imported as photo data are seldom organized. This hinders the integration of unstructured data with structured data, such as docking information, which causes complications in trade management.

Hence, Zenport has developed an application Zenbox, which links its platform and “DocuWorks Desk” by Fujifilm BI. With Zenbox, exporters can now comfortably organize and deposit electronic files, including soft copies of paper documents uploaded by importers and forwarders. Importers are able to manage data for each shipment using the DocuWorks Desk links attached to it.

Mr. Ota, the CEO of Zenport, emphasized the benefits of Zenbox by stating, “Despite the multiple digitization projects ongoing in the trading industry, the forecast is that digitalization will not see a rapid development due to the crowded stakeholders. Zenport is a powerful solution bridging the current partial-digitalization and total digitalization.”

This streamlined document handling functionality reduces operation load and facilitates substantial downsizing and is appropriate for correspondence with the revised electronic ledger storage law put into effect this January.
